What We Do

DENTAL IMPLANTS

Scottsdale Cosmetic Dentist"I wish I had known how easy it was, I'd have done it a decade a go." Dental Implant Patient of Scottsdale dentist, Dr. Rod Gore.

The patients of Dr. Gore and Dr. Svans are feeling the satisfaction of smiling with confidence again! They are once again laughing, eating and speaking with no reservations.

If you have missing teeth, need denture-support or even have an existing bridge that needs replacement, dental implants is the ideal solution.

Dental implants are the most natural and conservative way for teeth to be restored. They are also the most successful procedure available, as they have the potential to last longer than any other procedure.

Dental implants look and function just like your teeth, offering improved support, healthy gums, and a youthful appearance. With renewed self-confidence, you'll have many reasons to smile again.

Experience the Difference

At the Scottsdale dental practice of Dr. Gore and Dr. Svans we give extreme attention to detail and quality. That’s why we use a CT Scan for each implant. The CT scan gives us a complete road map with each important detail mapped out. We have all the technology needed in the office including the treatment planning phase and radiology.

For the final touch, we use tooth-colored abutments with all-porcelain crowns on top of those. This makes the ultimate restoration and gives you a tooth-shaded restoration from the support system up. We replace the missing tooth with a virtually natural tooth!

Many are anxious about the discomfort they may experience. Not only is sedation dentistry offered for your relaxation, but with the technology used by Drs. Gore and Svans to place the implants, the procedure is no more complex than a tooth extraction.

When it’s this easy, why wait? Talk to a team member today, and find out more about this long-lasting and beautiful smile solution!

CROWNS

Many restorations are fabricated using a metal lining covered with porcelain. These type restorations are not natural in appearance because they are opaque or flat looking because they do not let light pass through as a natural tooth does. There is often a dark or gray line next to the gum-line. We provide exclusively all porcelain-bonded restorations. With our restorations you will notice the appearance of natural teeth again.

Metal-free dentistry can restore your full dentition back to natural form and beauty.

FULL MOUTH RESTORATIONS

Imagine being able to turn the clock back 20, 30, 40 years or more. Full Mouth restoration involves restoring the teeth, bite, muscles and self-esteem back to a natural looking and youthful feeling condition.

You do not have to be dissatisfied with the way your smile looks and feels. You do not have to be uncomfortable when you chew or not be able to eat hot or cold foods. You do not have to awaken in the morning with sore jaw muscles or live with recurring headaches.

Our quality of life is greatly affected by our oral health. The older we get, the more important it becomes.

Using computerized technology and an artistic eye, full mouth restoration may be the answer to many of these problems.

TEETH WHITENING

Temporary Bleaching is a whitening process that involves placing a bleaching solution in contact with the teeth causing oxidation of stains and subsequent lightening. There are a variety of systems available to whiten teeth. These include tooth whitening done in the dental office or dentist supervised "At Home" systems. Current data and research has shown that “At Home” tray bleaching is one of the most effective modes of bleaching.

NEUROMUSCULAR DENTISTRY

Neuromuscular dentistry differs from "traditional" dentistry as it places the emphasis upon the activity of the muscles that move the jaw. Traditional dentistry does not consider the role jaw musculature plays in providing a comfortable bite. It uses the present alignment of the jaw as a reference point in tooth alignment. Neuromuscular dentistry recognizes that the muscles that move the jaw must be in a comfortable, relaxed position so they are not in conflict with the teeth and joint. We use a number of sophisticated instruments to find the position of the jaw that allows the jaws, teeth, and muscles operate in harmony.

The first goal of Neuromuscular dentistry is to find the position of the jaw where the muscles are relaxed and at rest. This is a three-dimensional position in space, and is often irrespective to the position of the teeth.

We use a device called a Myo-Monitor to relax the muscles. It is a low frequency T.E.N.S. (Transcutaneous Electrical Neural Stimulation) unit. This device delivers a mild electrical impulse to the muscles that move the jaw. The rhythmic pulsing (once every 1.5 seconds) relaxes the muscles. In addition to relaxing the muscles, it sets up ideal muscle function by increasing blood flow, flushing out toxins. We often find that after 45 minutes of stimulation, the muscles are in their ideal position. Once we have verified the comfortable position of the lower jaw, we can fabricate an orthotic that allows the jaw to close to this ideal position. In this position, the muscles are at an ideal length and will not go into spasm. Muscles will heal, pain trigger points will go away, and joint capsules will heal. The orthotic is used for three months to stabilize the bite and insure that all symptoms are gone.

At this point, a decision is made to wear the orthotic indefinitely, have orthodontics done to move the teeth to this ideal position, have one or two arches of teeth restored, or to adjust the bite to this ideal position.
